Sisterhood-Sharing Bag

Wild Women Hawai'i retreats are safe havens from the daily stresses of life, offering a stress-free, work-free, debate-free, network-free environment. We invite you to focus on yourself for a full weekend of bliss.

Our retreats are an invitation to not identify ourselves by the work we do but by the women we are. The purpose of Wild Women Hawai’i is to create a relaxed space that nurtures positive, trusting, open-hearted energy. It is a safe space where we leave solicitation, work, stress, conflict, capitalism, and commercialism behind for a few days and just let go.

We do, however, support women empowering women. As a compromise for those who would like to support one another's endeavors while maintaining the integrity of the retreat, you will have the opportunity to share what you do by directly contributing to a Sisterhood-Sharing Bag which will be given to each sister at the end of the retreat to open once they are home. This allows us the choice to support one another once the retreat has ended and everyone has gone home without taking energy from our hard work or disrupting the trusting, relaxed flow collectively created during the retreat. You may only include a business card if you want. Or you may include a gift for the pure sake of gifting. You must not market your offerings in any way during the retreat.  Sisters who refuse to respect this policy will not be invited back to our events.  Feel free to email us at wildwomenhawaii@gmail.com if you would like to further discuss our reasoning behind this policy.

The Sharing Bag can also be used for gifting. Many women like to bring something to gift their retreat sisters. Examples have included friendship bracelets, candles, and other goodie bag-type gifts. Feel free to add your business card, social media follow info, or your email contact to the bag.

Everyone is welcome to add to the sisterhood-sharing bag as long as their offering is:

  • legal

  • safe

  • clearly labeled with legible ingredients, if applicable

  • does not contain strong fragrance oils (they can induce migraines for some of us!)

  • non-alcoholic

  • not fragile (it will go into a tote bag with all other offerings)

  • of reasonable size (it needs to fit in a tote bag)

  • will not rot

  • will not spill or leak

  • does not need refrigeration

  • does not conflict with Wild Women Hawai’i and our purpose

When in doubt, please ask.

If you would like to add something to our Sisterhood-Sharing Bag, bring your items at the start of the retreat, prepackaged and ready to go, including one gift per guest, including yourself, as the bags will not be labeled with names. You must not share or market your offerings in any way or hand them out yourself in the retreat space before, during, or after. By participating, you agree to leave your Sharing Bag items with the facilitator upon arrival at the retreat and not directly distribute them in the event space at any time, as this defeats the purpose of the sharing bag. Women who refuse to respect this policy will not be invited back to our events. We will hold your items safe and sort them into individual tote bags in preparation for the last day, and then we'll release the sisterhood sharing bags to each guest at the end of the retreat for you to open when you are home.

Wild Women Hawai’i does not endorse or take responsibility for any product or service in the sisterhood-sharing bag. This is intended as a community bag to provide everyone with the opportunity to not only gift but also share what they do while allowing each sister the space to choose whether or not to support our businesses, all without changing the trusting energy of the retreat.
