Wild Women Hawai‘i occasionally collaborates with local practitioners whose work deeply aligns with our space and purpose. Sound healing is one of those gentle offerings. Together, the resonance of sound, the glow of candlelight, and the physical presence of women support each participant's individual journey, creating a shared sense of calm and a quiet, authentic sisterhood.

All images shown are of the actual studio during sound healing hours, from sunset through full darkness. Beeswax candles are placed safely out of the way.

The Power of Women’s Presence & Co-Regulation

Being in an intentional, women-only space naturally builds a foundation of deep trust. In a calm, grounded environment, our nervous systems begin to co-regulate and settle together. This shared stillness supports a profound shift into rest, softening the isolation of carrying daily burdens alone. Resting together makes it easier to let go and receive, allowing the frequencies of the instruments to be experienced not just individually, but as a collective comfort.

Somatic and Emotional Benefits

Both sound healing and soft lighting work together to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, the part of the body responsible for deep rest, repair, and restoration. The warm glow of a candle signals safety to the brain, allowing gentle space for emotional processing, whether you are moving through stress, grief, or simple mental fatigue.

The appealing, repetitive tones of singing bowls, chimes, and gongs pair with this ambient light to support brainwave entrainment, helping the mind settle into slower Alpha and Theta states often associated with deep meditation. Many women leave these low-stimulus evenings feeling peaceful, lighter, and emotionally regulated.

In Somatic Terms

Both sound healing and candlelight support activation of the parasympathetic nervous system, the part of the body responsible for rest and restoration. Together, they help signal safety, allowing the body to release stress more quickly than sound alone.

Parasympathetic Activation

Sound and soft lighting work together to support the body’s natural relaxation response, helping the nervous system flow into rest.

Brainwave Entrainment

The appealing, repetitive tones of singing bowls and other calming instruments, paired with the gentle flicker of candlelight, can support the brain in settling into slower Alpha and Theta states, often associated with meditation, creativity, and internal processing.

The Role of Beeswax

The atmosphere of our private studio is carefully curated for physical safety and sensory comfort. We choose to include pure, unscented beeswax candles because they offer a clean, steady burn well-suited for a shared indoor sanctuary. They carry a very subtle, natural honey scent that is gentle on sensitive systems, producing a soft, golden light that is easy on the eyes and deeply supportive of full-body relaxation.
