The Hearth Circle

A circle in Hilo for women craving genuine kinship

The Hearth Circle is a steady, down-to-earth gathering for women on the Big Island of Hawai‘i. We meet monthly to decompress, speak openly, and reconnect with ourselves while forming kindred bonds of authentic sisterhood.

You’re invited to come as you are: no fixing, no pressure, no performance.

What This Is (and isn't)

This is a space to simply be yourself.

It isn’t a place to network, self-improve, or showcase skills. It’s not a space for business shares, personal projects, or co-facilitation.

It doesn’t matter whether you’ve lived on island for a month or a lifetime. Whether you’re a lawyer, a mother, crunchy, silky, or somewhere in between.

If you’re wondering if you’ll fit in, the answer is yes.

And if you’re a leader elsewhere—someone who often holds others—and you’re looking for a space where you don’t have to hold anything at all… you are welcome here too..

The only requirement is kindness.

What to Expect

Each gathering follows a soft, steady rhythm.

We begin with simple somatic tools to help us land in the space—what that looks like may vary depending on the week and how the group feels. The first session will include a short guided meditation, followed by spacious, facilitated sharing.

Every woman is given space to express her voice without interruption, feedback, or commentary. A listening heart is always welcome.

You’ll never be asked to share, but when you do, you’ll be heard fully.
No experience or preparation is needed.

About Your Facilitator

I’ve led women’s circles in Hawai‘i for years, and I’ve lived in Hilo for over 30 years.

My background in somatic practices and movement helps me hold space in a way that’s calm, respectful, and steady—where no one is rushed and no one is overlooked.

I created The Hearth Circle because I saw how many women long for a true space of belonging. Not a clique. Not a performance. Just a consistent place to be with other women without judgment, comparison, or pressure to be anything but yourself.

This circle is part of a larger purpose: creating spaces where women can release the weight of needing to prove or perform, and be met just as they are.

Location

We meet monthly on a Wednesday evening from 5:30–7:00 PM in my private home studio on the Kaumana side of Hilo. The space was intentionally designed for women’s gatherings and somatic work: peaceful, grounded, and warm. Directions are shared after registration.

Comfort & Access

The studio is set up for floor-seated circles on a wooden floor. Soft blankets and a few cushions are provided, but chairs are not.

If you have specific mobility or comfort needs, please reach out—I’m happy to explore options with you.

A Clarifying Note

This is not a therapeutic or coaching group. While honest emotion is welcome, the circle is not intended for deep emotional processing or trauma work. For that kind of support, one-on-one somatic sessions are available, or I can refer you to a licensed therapist.

This is not a ministry, teaching platform, or co-led space. We do not proselytize, perform, or promote any particular path. It is also not a place for networking or promoting services.

The Hearth Circle is a guided space, held with care and intention. Each gathering follows a gentle rhythm so you can simply arrive, let go, and be.

The Circle Is Forming

The Hearth Circle is still gently taking shape. We’ll begin once 8 women are confirmed.

If you’re feeling drawn, please complete the brief interest form below. I’ll be in touch when registration opens.
